Modi sarkar made their first budget really promising and they delivered right budget at right moment, when all the nation is on criticism mode on government over raise in prices and poor railway budget.Though they were mixed reactions on the budget but one can't deny that this is better budget on compared to the previous government's budget sessions.This year budget is for AAM Admi and Garib Admi there is no reason for stating it as not.
Few highlights of budgets are:
Good :

Deduction limit on interest on loan for self-occupied house raised to Rs 2 lakh from Rs 1.5 lakh

2) Tax exemption limit for small and marginal, and senior tax payers changed from Rs 2.0 to Rs 2.5 lakh. For senior citizens, no tax for income up to Rs 3 lakh per annum
3) Additional 5% excise tax to be levied on aerated drinks with added sugar (cold drinks). Tobacco products also to get costly as excise duty hiked to 72%
4) Branded petrol price cut by over Rs 5/litre
5) Jaitley pushes for housing to all by 2022 scheme
6) Four more AIIMS to be set up; Rs 500 crore set aside for this. 5 more IITs and IIMs to be set up.
5 more IITs in Jammu, Chattisgarh, Goa, Andhra Pradesh and Kerala
8) 5 IIMs to be opened in HP, Punjab, Bihar, Odisha and Rajasthan
9) 4 more AIIMS like institutions to come up in Andhra Pradesh, West Bengal, Vidarbha in Maharashtra and Poorvanchal in Uttar Pradesh
10) Free Drug Service and Free Diagnosis Service to achieve “ Health For All”
11) Rs. 7,060 crore for the project of developing 100 Smart Cities.
